The new Diodes series high side/low side gate drivers are packaged in so-8 for greater efficiency

Diodes (Nasdaq: DIOD) is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high quality application-specific standard products for a wide range of applications including the independent, logic, analog and hybrid semiconductor markets.The company introduces a new series of high voltage, high speed gate drivers, suitable for converter, frequency converter, motor control, and D class power amplifier applications.The device is suitable for up to 100V motor drive applications and supports 200V power conversion and reversal applications.These features make it ideal for a variety of consumer and industrial designs, including power tools, robots and drones, and small electric vehicles.

DGD2003S8, DGD2005S8 and DGD2012S8 are 200V gate drivers covering half-bridge and high-side/low-side topologies, and are packaged in standard low-side so-8 packages.These devices have interface isolation level offset technology to create floating channel high side drivers for bootstrap topologies operating at up to 200V and to drive two N channel MOSFET using a half-bridge configuration.

All devices in this series have standard TTL/CMOS logic inputs that contain Schmitt triggers and operate at a minimum of 3.3v, making it easy to connect drivers to control circuits.The output is designed to withstand negative transients and includes undervoltage locking for both high and low side drives.

The DGD2003S8 and DGD2005S8 have source and drain currents of 290mA and 600mA respectively, and the DGD2012S8 are 1.9a and 2.3a, respectively. The power efficiency can be maintained within their range.DGD2003S8 has a fixed 420ns internal stagnation time, while DGD2005S8 has a maximum propagation time of 30ns when switching between the high side and the low side.

DGD2003S8, DGD2005S8 and DGD2012S8 are provided SO - 8 encapsulation, and can be in to 40 ° C to + 125 ° C in a wide temperature range of operation.
