Microsoft added "flashlight" function to Windows VR head-mounted camera

Headsets running Microsoft Windows Mixed Reality platforms, such as Acer, Lenovo and Samsung, can use the latest Windows 10 Insider version to access new features.

If your headphone does not test the voice command feature, you will need to connect a microphone, but the "MR Flashlight" can also be activated in other ways. This feature projects an intuitive view of the camera on the head display to any position on the controller.

You can open a real-world portal at any time via the Start menu, button shortcuts or voice commands. This will turn on the low-latency pass-through camera feed connected to the controller. It's comfortable, intuitive, and immersive.

The new Windows-based system allows people to interact with both realities at the same time. Using object recognition to start pulling objects from the real environment into the virtual environment is an interesting content. Unfortunately, there are no similar things in this update, but it is a direction for technology giants such as Microsoft, Facebook and Google. Make VR heads easier to use and safer in the next few years. This "MR flashlight" looks like Microsoft's first step.
